Students are urged
to consider joining one or more engineering societies. Society student
chapters are lead by engineering students who plan activities and programs.
Engineering societies provide an opportunity to network with professional
engineers employed in the community and to learn about career opportunities.
Student societies plan field trip and plant tours. Participating in
an engineering society permits students to meet classmates and faculty
members in a social environment. Upon graduation, students may become
a full member of an engineering society and continue to develop professional
connections and technical competencies through involvement with the
society.
