LIBRARIES

UT Tyler Library

The Robert R. Muntz Library houses an array of materials to support the various degree programs offered by the UT Tyler. In addition to nearly 190,000 hardbound volumes and over 1500 periodical subscriptions, the library provides access to over 5000 digital books and a wide variety of electronic databases.

Conference Room and Library

The College has a conference room that provides space for meetings. Students use the conference room as a study space when it is not reserved for faculty purposes. Students are free to use the large conference room table as well as a small study area at the end of the conference room.

To encourage students to engage in the continuous acquisition of knowledge (ME Outcome 5), the conference room houses a small library with the following materials:

  • ASTM Standards (2000)
  • ASME Boiler and Pressure Codes (1998)
  • Tool and Manufacturing Engineering Handbooks (9 volumes)
  • Machinery Handbooks
  • Thomas Registers (2000)
  • Various equipment catalogues
  • Many handbooks and textbooks
  • Current issues of the Wall Street Journal
  • Current issues of magazines including ASME Mechanical Engineering, IEEE Spectrum, SME Manufacturing Engineer, to name a few
  • FE Examination review materials

The conference room study area has two large world maps on the wall to remind students they are part of a global society.
